Athirat Rising

A naive and impressionable young man has become attached to Eternity, an eccentric punk and latest belle of London's underground music scene. Now he's disappeared, Eternity's music has taken a strange turn towards the otherworldly and Eternity himself has been preaching about the coming of a mystical force to claim the world for itself. Along with his small cabal of contacts, including a tattooist who can turn his designs into powerful wards and sigils and an ex-cop hallucinogen dealer. Eternity plans to build the ultimate instrument to allow his strange god to materialise.

Athirat Rising is a systemless scenario for investigative supernatural RPGs. It was tested with and written for Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu but contains no specific stats, just guidance on what characters and encounters are intended to play like ready for statting in your system of choice. It uses no elements of the mythos and therefore is suitable for many games in many other systems.
